Weapons and Combat

Monster Hunter World features fourteen weapon types, each with a unique playstyle. The Great Sword is slow but deals massive damage. Dual Blades are fast and aggressive. Bow and Bowgun allow ranged attacks. The Hunting Horn supports the team with buffs. Each weapon requires practice and mastery. Your weapon choice fundamentally changes your approach to each hunt.

Monsters and Ecosystem

The New World is home to dozens of unique monsters, from small Jagras to Elder Dragons the size of a building. Monsters interact with each other: territorial clashes between two large creatures are spectacular events. Each monster has weak points, elemental vulnerabilities, and behavioral patterns.

Co-op and SOS

Hunts are available in co-op for up to four players. The SOS system lets you call for help mid-hunt. Team coordination is key to success against tough monsters. Solo play is fully supported with a Palico companion.
