The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a top-down roguelike by Edmund McMillen, a remake of the original 2011 flash game. Young Isaac descends into the basement to escape his religiously fanatical mother. Each run is unique thanks to procedurally generated rooms, items, and enemies. Hundreds of items, dozens of characters, and thousands of possible combinations ensure infinite replayability.
Gameplay and Items
Isaac shoots tears at enemies in randomly generated dungeons. Each floor contains rooms with enemies, treasures, shops, and secrets. Items modify stats and appearance: speed, damage, range, and tear rate. Synergies between items create incredibly powerful combinations — or useless ones. The roguelike element means death resets run progress.
Characters and Unlocks
Binding of Isaac Rebirth with all DLC features over thirty characters. Each starts with unique stats and starting items. Unlocking new characters, items, and endings requires completing specific challenges. Full completion of all marks takes hundreds of hours.
DLC and Expansions
