State of Decay

State of Decay is an open-world survival action game by Undead Labs. The game immerses you in a zombie apocalypse where survival depends not just on combat skills but on community management. Every survivor is a unique character with their own skills, personality, and backstory.

Community Management

You lead a group of survivors, assigning duties, developing the base, and making tough decisions. Resources are limited: food, medicine, ammunition, and building materials require constant replenishment. Community morale affects efficiency and can lead to conflicts among survivors.

Open World

The map includes rural areas with farms, small towns, and forests. Every building can be searched for resources, but zombies lurk around every corner. Daytime is relatively safe, but at night special infected emerge to hunt, making excursions deadly dangerous.

Permadeath

Every character can die permanently. If your current character dies, you switch to another community member. Losing a key survivor with important skills impacts the entire group. This creates emotional attachment and encourages careful planning for every outing.
