Hollow Knight Silksong, the Anticipated Sequel
Hollow Knight: Silksong is the sequel to the acclaimed metroidvania Hollow Knight by Team Cherry. Instead of the nameless knight from the first game, you play as Hornet, an agile warrior wielding a needle and silk thread. The adventure takes place in the new kingdom of Pharloom, where Hornet has been taken against her will. Silksong became one of the most anticipated indie games since its announcement.
Gameplay and Combat
Hornet plays differently from the original knight. She is faster, more agile, and uses silk thread to create traps and tools. The combat system is built around acrobatics: jumps, dashes, and aerial attacks. New mechanics replace the mask and charm systems. Crafting tools from silk adds a resource management element.
The World of Pharloom
The kingdom of Pharloom is an entirely new world with unique biomes, enemies, and NPCs. Revealed trailers showcase diverse locations: lush groves, underground caves, cities, and industrial zones. Like the original, the world is interconnected and opens up as you acquire new abilities.
Quests and NPCs
Silksong expands the quest system compared to the original. NPCs provide tasks that advance the story and unlock rewards. Over 150 new enemies, numerous bosses, and secrets have been confirmed. Team Cherry promises a scope larger than the original Hollow Knight.
