Dying Light, Zombie Action With Parkour and Open World

Dying Light is a first-person action game with survival elements by Techland. You play as Kyle Crane, a GRE agent dropped into the quarantine zone of Harran, a city overrun by a zombie epidemic. The unique parkour system lets you freely traverse rooftops, vault over zombies, and use the environment as a weapon. By day you explore the world; by night you hide from deadly Volatiles.

Parkour and Movement

Parkour is the defining feature of Dying Light. The freerunning system lets you climb any surface, leap between rooftops, slide down ziplines, and use a grappling hook. Upgrading agility skills unlocks new moves: landing rolls, dropkicks, and slides. Traversing the city becomes engaging in its own right.

Day and Night Cycle

The day-night cycle fundamentally changes gameplay. During the day, zombies are slow and relatively safe. At night, Volatiles emerge — fast, aggressive mutants with ultraviolet vision. Night excursions grant double experience, but the risk of death increases dramatically. The pursuit system forces you to run without looking back.

Weapons and Crafting

The arsenal in Dying Light includes hundreds of melee weapons: swords, machetes, baseball bats, axes, and crowbars. The crafting system lets you modify weapons with elemental effects: fire, electricity, poison. Weapons degrade and break, forcing constant scavenging. Firearms are available but attract zombies with noise.

Co-op and DLC

Dying Light supports up to four-player co-op. The entire campaign is playable together. The Following DLC adds a massive rural map and a buggy for transportation. Be The Zombie mode lets you invade other players' games as a night hunter. Compare regional prices on our website.
