Battlefield V, World War II Battles
Battlefield V is a multiplayer shooter by DICE set during World War II. Large-scale 64-player battles on maps from snowy Norway to the deserts of North Africa. War Stories tell lesser-known episodes of the war. The fortification system lets you build defensive structures mid-battle.
Multiplayer and Modes
Conquest and Breakthrough are the main 64-player modes. Grand Operations are multi-day operations with changing conditions. Firestorm is a battle royale mode on the largest Battlefield map. The Pacific theater added Iwo Jima and other iconic locations.
Classes and Vehicles
Four classes: assault with anti-tank weapons, medic with SMGs, support with LMGs, recon with sniper rifles. Vehicles include tanks, planes, transport, and fortified positions. The attrition system limits ammo and health, requiring team support.
War Stories
The single-player campaign takes the form of War Stories — short episodes about lesser-known heroes. Nordlys tells of Norwegian resistance, Tirailleur follows Senegalese soldiers in France. Each episode lasts 1-2 hours.
