ARK Survival Evolved, Dinosaur Survival

ARK Survival Evolved is a multiplayer survival game by Studio Wildcard set on a mysterious island populated by dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. Starting with nothing, you gather resources, build bases, craft tools, and tame dinosaurs for transportation, combat, and resource gathering. ARK combines survival, building, and RPG elements in a massive open world.

Taming

Taming is ARK's central mechanic. Over 100 creature species are tameable, from small dilophosaurs to giant brontosaurs and flying pteranodons. Each creature has its own taming method — knockout feeding, passive taming, or traps. Tamed dinosaurs serve as mounts, combat allies, and resource gatherers. The breeding system allows crossing dinosaurs for improved offspring.

Maps and DLC

The base map The Island is a tropical island with diverse biomes. Paid DLCs add: Scorched Earth (desert), Aberration (underground), Extinction (Earth ruins), and Genesis (simulation). Free community maps: Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, and Fjordur. Each features unique creatures and bosses.

Servers and Multiplayer

ARK supports official servers, unofficial community servers, and single-player. Official PvP allows raiding other players. PvE prevents player damage. Unofficial servers offer customizable rates. Create your own dedicated server for private play.
